Geospatial Data Services

LSI has the people, processes, and tools to perform a wide array of terrestrial and hydrographic cartography services. We utilize best-in-breed tools, including the Laser-Scan object-oriented database product suite. Nautical charting is one area of focused expertise:

DNC® - LSI creates and applies incremental updates to DNC® (Digital Nautical Chart) data. To create the data quality needed to enhance safety of navigation for the U.S. military forces, the LSI production services team utilizes the complete DNC® production and maintenance automated process flow originally developed for NGA.

ENC - LSI creates and updates ENC (Electronic Nautical Chart) data used by commercial ships, the standard S-57 data format specified by the International Hydrographic Organization to provide commercial ships with navigational data. LSI has developed a unique capability based on the Laser-Scan LAMPS2 tool to efficiently and accurately create and maintain ENC data to meet the S-57 data format specified by the International Hydrographic Organization.
