November 1 , 2007 LSI continues to move forward in development of a complete volumetric 3D data capability with its latest award to develop a true 3D conflation tool. Awarded by the Leonard Wood Institute, this contract expands LSI's efforts beyond prior development of a volumetric 3D topology model allowing for conflation of differing qualities of true 3D data. February 7, 2007 LSI has completed its Phase II SBIR research program to deliver database functionality for a 3 Dimensional Topology Model. The SBIR contract was conducted for the US Army Engineer Research and Development Center’s (ERDC) Topographic Engineering Center (TEC). For more details see the full press release. LSI has expanded its nautical chart production team to meet increased demand for chart production and maintenance. Using the object-oriented Gothic/LAMPS2 tools, the team has earned a reputation for high quality, on-time deliveries. 2004 Army awards LSI Phase II SBIR contract to implement geospatial 3D topology model Based on the successful completion of the Phase I proof-of-concept feasibility study, LSI was awarded an Army Phase II Small Business Innovation and Research contract to implement a 3D topology model to enhance decision support systems.
NGA awards LSI contract to automate interfaces between object-oriented spatial database and image analysis software Under a recently awarded NGA contract, LSI developed a prototype integration of the Gothic object-oriented spatial database, with eCognition, object-oriented image analysis software from Definiens Imaging.
LSI implements ISO 9001:2000 compliant Quality Management System Assessments conducted by prime contractors on the NGA Global Geospatial Initiative contract concluded that LSI’s quality management system has been documented, implemented, and maintained in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 International Standard.
LSI achieves Virginia Women’s Business Enterprise certification The Virginia Department of Business Assistance completed a review of the LSI business plans and certified the company under the state’s Women’s Business Enterprise program.
LSI demonstrates feasibility of a geospatial 3D topology model under Army Phase I SBIR contract LSI completed the research goals of the Phase I Small Business Innovation and Research contract awarded by the Army, demonstrating the feasibility of a conceptual system for the automatic creation, validation, storage, maintenance, and exploitation of 3D topology for geospatial features.
